Our Hearts Are Broken

For those of you who have come to this blog searching for help and comfort in your grief, our hearts are with you and we encourage you to read on in Doug’s other posts and the archives for the words of comfort that you need at this time.

Doug’s wife, Barbara, died suddenly over the weekend. Their marriage of 57 years was a true partnership in every sense of the word. Mere words are inadequate to express how much we will all miss her.

Expect for Doug to take a break from blogging for a short while, but he will return when he is ready. In the meantime, our hearts are with you as we share in this time of grief for loved ones who are no longer with us.

-Kathy Burns

Daughter of Doug & Barbara

Return

Doug, My sincere and deepest sympathies to you. I also have been "peeling the onion" for 11 months now. I can only hope someone is as much a comfort and help to you, as you have been for. Thank you
Doug, this is my first visit to your blog, and I offer you my sincere sympathy on the loss of your wife. I lost my husband suddenly 7 years ago after almost 23 years of marriage. May you some day come to peace with this very sad situation. God Bless You! Mrs. Peggy Murphy Avon Lake, Ohio
